Dr. Jessica Fung earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Calgary before continuing on to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2010, she completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Ontario Veterinary College, followed by a specialized one-year internship in small animal emergency and critical care in Vancouver at a private practice.
She worked as an emergency veterinarian at VCA Canada Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre from 2012 until joining our team in the fall of 2020. Dr. Jess is deeply passionate about animal care, and it shows in her work. She has a growing interest in rehabilitation and has been expanding her expertise through ongoing courses.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fung has many thrilling adventures that include scuba diving, stand-up paddling, cycling, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, and indoor climbing; her newest adventure is the arrival of her two beautiful twins. She is slowly getting back into her favorite hobbies and teaching her little ones as well.
