Is euthanasia right for my pet?

A veterinarian will only recommend euthanasia when the patient is having chronic pain or illness and all treatments to remedy the condition have failed. Will my pet feel pain during euthanasia?
No. To keep pets calm we give them a sedative before we administer medication to end their life. Our veterinarians have received special training to help them pass away peacefully so there will be no hiccups. When the injection is administered it immediately stops the heart, lungs and other organs from functioning. It’s over in less than a minute and the patient doesn’t feel any pain.
